WCC Men

Time set aside for men to encourage and be encouraged.

The church has an active Men's Ministry that meets regularly during the year. Men's Ministry gives an opportunity for the men of the church to pray, support each other and discuss the issues that Christian men face. Men's ministry is where men can love God and love our neighbour - together as a missional community we grow in our faith and are a blessing as we serve our sphere of influence or neighbourhood.

As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another - Proverbs 27:17

Through teaching, discipleship, socials and prayer our aim is to understand what it means to be men of faith. We have various events including real mens nights, sports days and breakfasts !

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello!

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When?

We meet at the Waverley Junior Academy (details here) for our Sunday Service starting at 10:30am. For your first visit, we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to ensure you get a parking space and find somewhere to sit before the service begins. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team.

We serve tea, coffee and other refreshments after the service. It is a great way to meet people, or simply take time to find your bearings. All refreshments are free.

Our Service

The Main Service begins at 10:30am with a warm welcome from one of our team members. Then follows a time of praise and worship, led by our Worship Team. After this we then share announcements, usually about what’s going on in the life of the church followed by our time of collection of tithes and offerings. It is a common occurrence for one to pray out loud or read a small passage from the Bible.  After this one of our leaders will then give a sermon that is Bible based and that we can apply to our everyday life. When the sermon is finished there is an opportunity to receive prayer at the end of the service.
